The ARRL Emergency Communications Training page offers links to ARRL on-line courses and links to training offered by other agencies.

Also check with local Amateur clubs or your local ARES Emergency Coordinator (EC) for locally taught classes and testing availability.

Other Recommended Courses
Members should review with your EC your ARES training goals before taking any Department of Homeland Security (DHS) training through their Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Emergency Management Institute (EMI) offerings in the Independent Study Program.

Some recommended training courses include:
IS-317: Introduction to Community Emergency Response Teams (C.E.R.T.)
IS-100.b: Introduction to Incident Command System (ICS)
IS-700.a: National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction
